"This letter is a long time in coming.
I have been doing projects both private and for Portraits of Hope for many
years, and your topcoat/varnish ClearShield Clear Coating with UV-Protective Coating
Gloss Type LL was truly one of the best products I have ever worked with. Very
few products have ever responded the way Gloss Type LL did in enhancing the works
of art.
Everyone at CLEARSTAR was incredible. The Gloss Type LL made such a difference
in protecting and adding shine to the work of the hospitalized children. We were
amazed at how the Gloss Type LL worked under the most adverse conditions with
sleet, wind, sun, ocean air, high velocity and with airplane fluid drippings and
oil. Throughout the entire exhibition the shine remained intact with no abrasions.
As you know, Portraits of Hope is a creative therapy program for children in
need. We recently visited hospitals across the United States and the children
painted on special material that was affixed to the outerskin of a DC-3 airplane.
This was the first time ever a plane has been transformed like this. The plane
flew as part of the First Flight Centennial Celebration, honoring the Wright Brothers
historical undertaking 100 years ago.
Without knowing you or you knowing us, your donation of the ClearShield was
extraordinary, especially with the quickness that you responded in shipping the
5-gallon containers to us.
We were able to apply the ClearShield to all 10,000 square feet of the plane
and the shine from the sky was phenomenal. We were also grateful with the ease
the varnish went on. We were on a tight timetable in completing this project and
the actual application process was quick and effortless.
We are so grateful to all of you for your donation and your incredible products
and we look forward to many years of working together."

We've been using ClearShield for a few months now and wanted to report our
wonderful experiences so far. The flow characteristics and workability are terrific,
and our success certainly demonstrates again that water based products can be
just as easy to apply as sign enamels. We've been very impressed with the clarity
of the high gloss finish, and have been using it both over digital and vinyl graphics
as well as to improve the overall appearance of our latex paint jobs. Additionally,
we have had equally good success with our HVLP delivery, so overall we're thrilled.
We aren't surprised, however, since each step in our long association with Steve
and Laurie has always dramatically improved our products, and this latest experience
is no different...Thanks again for a quality, professional product.

One of my customers owns a fleet of trucks for his freight business. I convinced
him to install 4 sign frames on each side of the trucks. We sell advertising space
on the trucks as his business takes him from Anchorage to Wasilla each day (50
miles one way) and gets lots of exposure.
These vehicles
get power washed almost daily. I noticed that
some of the signs were starting to look old prematurely.
I decided to use the water based ClearShield on
the next sign that went up on the truck. It just
happened to be for the car wash business. Well,
that was over one year ago and the sign coated
with ClearShield looks like it was made today.

"Just a note on this Window Juice. I used it this week on two jobs. One
was on a windshield that was only about 45 degrees temp. It worked super, no bubbles.
App paper lifted no problems. The other was SignGold Reverse window vinyl, the
lettering was small and slipped around a bit. But I should have hinged it. Still
worked great! Thanks."
