Building on the initial success of the StarLam, the new model features rotating metering rods, a self-contained cleaning system and an advanced drying technique. ClearShield Water Based UV Protective Liquid Laminate, the first choice in all non-water sensitive ink/media combinations requiring Liquid Lamination. ClearShield is formulated using state of the art resins and ultraviolet additives that protect both the substrate, ink as well as the clear coating itself. These clear, urethane, acrylic or acrylic-urethane coatings, have excellent exterior durability, are non-yellowing and highly flexible. Five versions are available:

ClearJet Solvent Based Fine Art Liquid Laminate
This is a solvent based Liquid Laminate for the Fine Art and Giclee industries. It is the ideal coating for many Fine Art canvas applications. It exhibits the flexibility required for stretching canvas with no cracking of the clear coat. This laminate is formulated to work on gel coated and other water sensitive canvas. It reduces or eliminates pinholes normally encountered when applying Liquid Laminates on canvas. ClearJet FA is formulated for use over water sensitive canvas printed with dye-based or water based inks. It is available in ready to use aerosol cans as well as for Brush and Roll and conventional spray applications.
Vinyl Application Fluids
Vinyl application fluids are designed to make the application of pressure sensitive vinyls and decals quick and easy by allowing you time to position your graphics and remove air bubbles prior to adhesion. The application fluid wets the surface, allowing you to slide the graphics until you get the exact placement. No need to worry about the adhesive sticking before you are ready. Application fluids are great when working with large graphics
Splash is a concentrate. An 8 oz. bottle will yield a gallon of application fluid.

Marabu GmbH & Co. KG announced today, it has acquired the assets of USA based Clearstar Coatings Corporation, a leading manufacturer in the production of liquid laminates and inks for digital printing. Stephen Berman, founder and President, joins Clearstar L.P., the US operating company, as Chief Executive.
The acquisition of Clearstar is an important step in Marabu’s growth strategy, further enhancing the firm’s digital product range. Clearstar’s high-quality liquid laminates and digital printing inks add an important product portfolio for Marabu. In addition, this establishes Marabu’s physical presence and adds a manufacturing facility in the important American market. But the acquisition goes beyond the manufacturing capability. “Having Stephen Berman on board means having one of the most knowledgeable persons in the sign industry on our team,” said Dr. Roland Staehlin, Marabu’s Printing Ink Managing Director. “Stephen brings more than 25 years of experience to our group.”
